The
Faculty of Engineering of University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has secured
accreditation for its programmes as the Council for the Regulation of
Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Engineering secured full accreditation for
their Undergraduate programmes, while Petroleum and Gas, Chemical and
Mechanical Engineering also secured full accreditation to mount Graduate
programmes for the next five years.
This
is the first hurdle scaled in securing full full accreditation to both
Undergraduate and Post-Graduate programmes which had interim accreditation
during the last accreditation exercise. The UNIPORT Faculty of Engineering now
has the nod of COREN to run its courses for the next five years.
