University of Benin Suspends Post-UTME For 2016/2017 !!!

The University of Benin has suspended the scheduled Post-UTME screening for 2016/2017 admission. This is in compliance with the Federal Government’s directive that no tertiary institution should conduct Post-UTME screening from the 2016/2017 academic session.
A number of schools have gone ahead to advertise screening for 2016/17 admission but under another name; mostly Admission Screening Exercise. This has prompted the minister of education to further reiterate the Federal Government’s resolve to seeing Post-UTME scrapped. The minister even instructed schools that have conducted the screening to cancel them and refund moneys collected to candidates.
The Federal Government will not meet with Vice Chancellors of Universities and their Rectors and Provosts counterparts from Polytechnics and Colleges respectively.
