AAUA Postgraduate, Undergraduate & Diploma Programmes for 2015/16 Application form on sale


Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates for admission into the underlisted programmes of the Institute of Part-Time Programmes (IPTP), Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, for the 2015/2016 Academic Session.
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
Admission Requirements
1.     Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA)
2.     · A University degree from a recognized University.
3.     · Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or other recognized similar professional qualifications with cognate experience.
4.     In addition to the above, all candidates are required to pass five subjects in West African School Certificate (WASC), National Examinations Council (NECO) or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE/OL) or its equivalent at credit level including English Language and Mathematics. 5.  Also, candidates with cognate post-qualification experience in Finance/Administration may be considered.
Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM)
1.      A University degree from a recognized University. · Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or other recognized similar professional qualifications with cognate experience.
2.      · In addition to the above, all candidates are required to pass five subjects in West African School Certificate (WASC), NECO or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE/OL) or its equivalent at credit level including English Language and Mathematics.
3.      · Also, candidates with cognate post-qualification experience in Finance/Administration may be considered. Master Degree Programmes Admission Requirements
4.      Master of Business Administration (MBA)
1.     · Graduates of AAUA or any other recognized University with similar Bachelor’s Degree and at least a Second Class (Lower Division) recognized by Senate.
2.     · Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) and/or professional qualification in Administration, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management or in related disciplines with a minimum of Credit pass from AAUA or any other recognized University.
3.     · In addition to the above, all candidates are required to pass five subjects in West African School Certificate (WASC), National Examinations Council (NECO) or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE/OL) or its equivalent at credit level including English Language and Mathematics.
4.     · Also, candidates with Bachelor’s degree/HND with cognate post-qualification experience in Finance/Administration may be considered.
Master of Public Administration (MPA)
1.           · A University degree from AAUA or any recognized University with at least a Second Class Lower Division in any of the Social Sciences, Arts, Education and Law. · Holders of Bachelor’s degree with Third Class or HND or other recognized professional qualifications in any of the disciplines mentioned above, and have passed a postgraduate diploma in any Social or Management Science disciplines with Merit pass may be considered. Master of Managerial Psychology (MMP)
 · A University degree from AAUA or any recognized University with at least a Second Class Lower Division in any of the Social Sciences, Arts, Education and Law. · Holders of Bachelor’s degree with Third Class or HND or other recognized professional qualifications in any of the disciplines mentioned above, and have passed a postgraduate diploma in any Social or Management Science disciplines with Credit may be considered. Undergraduate Degree 4 years (Direct/200 Level Entry) 5 years (100 Level Entry) B.Sc. Accounting
 · Advanced Level passes in Accounting and at least any one of Economics, Mathematics and Business Management in addition to the Ordinary Level requirements.
 · Pass in the whole of the Foundation Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or any other recognized Accountancy body or pass in Part II in all the stages of the Accounting Technicians Scheme; ND in Accountancy with at least Credit pass from any recognized higher institution in addition to O/L requirements. All such candidates must however possess the basic O/L requirements.
· Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes or its equivalent at not more than two sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and any two other subjects. B.Sc. Banking & Finance
 · Candidates must possess Credit passes in at least five relevant subjects in SSCE/GCE O/L or
· Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes including English Language, NECO.
 · Candidates who scored a minimum of Credit in ND in relevant discipline(s) in any recognized institution. Mathematics, Economics, one other Social Science or Arts Subject. 2. Undergraduate Degree 4 years (Direct/200 Level Entry) 5 years (100 Level Entry) B.Sc. Geography & Planning Sciences · In addition to the O/L requirements, candidates must possess Geography in the GCE A/L or its equivalent. ND in related courses like Town Planning, Surveying, Environmental Management, Estate Management or other related subjects provided they have graduated with ND at Credit level. · Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Geography and two other Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings. B.Sc. Public Administration
· In addition to the O/L requirements, candidates must possess ND from recognized institutions in a relevant discipline at credit level. · Candidates who scored a minimum of Credit in ND in relevant discipline(s) from any recognized institution. · Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes at not more than two sittings in SSCE, GCE O/L or its equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, one subject in the Social Sciences and any other subject. B.Sc. Economics · ND in relevant discipline(s) from any recognized institution provided the student possesses a credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Government, Geography, Accounting, Commerce, and History at the SSCE, GCE O/L or its equivalent. · Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes at not more than two sittings in SSCE, GCE O/L or its equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Government, Geography, Accounting, Commerce and History at the SSCE O/L or its equivalent. B.Sc. Pure & Applied Psychology · In addition to the O/L requirements, candidates must possess ND in Psychology from any recognized institution. Registered Nurses (RN) may also be considered for Direct Entry admission. · Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two other subjects. B.Sc. Business Administration · In addition to the O/L requirements, candidates must possess a minimum of credit passes in at least two relevant subjects at the GCE A/L or at least Credit in ND in Business Administration from a recognized higher institution. · Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects from Commerce, Accounting, Geography and Government. B.Sc. Sociology · Candidates must possess Credit passes in at least five relevant subjects in SSCE/GCE O/L or NECO. · In addition to the O/L requirements, candidates must possess ND in related courses as Social Work, Social Policy, Social Administration, Public Administration and other related fields as determined by the Department. · Minimum of at least five O/L credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Government and two other Social Sciences/Arts subjects. NOTE: Candidates that do not have current JAMB Registration Numbers will have to undergo regularization with JAMB after admission. 3.
